2. Making a Contract with Advantage
2.1. When you place an order with us, you are making an offer to buy goods. We shall send you an email to confirm that we have received your order.
2.2. Once we have reviewed your order, we shall email you again to confirm that we accept your order, and that a contract has been made between us.
2.3. We do not accept orders from outside the United Kingdom.
2.4. In the unlikely event that the goods are no longer available, or that we have made a pricing mistake, we will advise you of this. In this instance you will not receive an email confirming acceptance of your order, and there will be no contract between us.
2.5. If we reject your order but have taken payment from you, we shall refund the payment within 3 working days of our notice of rejection.
2.6. Images of products on this website are for illustrative purposes only. Your goods may vary slightly from the image shown on the website and will not include any of the pictured accessories, unless stated in the specification of the goods. Whilst goods may be shown assembled they may require assembly by you.
2.7. We have made every effort to display as accurately as possible the colours of our products that appear on this website. However, we cannot guarantee that your monitor’s display of any colour will accurately reflect the colour of the actual goods.
2.8. We try to be as accurate as possible, and all information is provided in good faith.
2.9. This contract is covered by English law.
3. How to Place Your Order
3.1. You can use our website to place an order by selecting the product you wish to buy and adding it to your basket. Items you do not require can be removed from your basket at any time. If you prefer to order by telephone you can do so by calling 01905 622830.
3.2. You will be required to pay for the goods in full at the time of ordering unless you have a credit account.
3.3. We use secure payment facilities for online purchases. You can pay for your order by Visa, Mastercard, Delta/Connect or Paypal.
3.4. Credit accounts can only be opened at our discretion and are subject to satisfactory references. We reserve the right to limit the amount of credit allowed for a Credit account; and to suspend credit facilities without explanation. We may obtain, retain, and provide to third parties, references as regards your financial standing. Credit accounts are granted on the condition that payment is received strictly 30 days from date of invoice. Should your account not be paid in accordance with the agreed terms, we reserve the right to suspend your credit facilities with us and revoke your credit account if necessary.
3.5. Promotional prices only apply during the period stated.
3.6. All prices quoted on our website are in UK pounds. Prices shown on the product screens are exclusive of Value Added Tax. VAT at the current rate is added at the checkout.
3.7. Once your order has been confirmed, changes may not be possible or may incur additional charges or delays.
3.8. Once your order is complete we will notify you of the dispatch date.
3.9. We do not store credit card details nor do we share financial details with any 3rd parties.
4. Delivery & Carriage Charges
4.1. We aim to deliver all ‘express’ items within 5 working days. Stock items required urgently can be dispatched on an overnight carrier at additional cost. For all other items the delivery lead time is shown on the individual product screen. Please note that large quantities and any orders that have added to them additional finishes e.g. RAL coatings may take significantly longer. If any delays on your deliveries are anticipated, we shall inform you by email.
4.2. Your order may arrive in more than one delivery as goods are manufactured at different locations in the UK.
4.3. Any carriage charges shown refer to deliveries anywhere in mainland United Kingdom. For orders to Northern Ireland, Isle of Man and the Scottish Islands and Highlands additional carriage charges will apply and you are requested to contact us for prices before you place your order.
4.4. We shall deliver the goods to the premises you specify on your order. Someone must be available to accept delivery of your order, which is normally between 9:00am and 6:00pm Monday-Friday. We will not accept responsibility for loss or damage if you instruct the delivery company to leave the goods unattended.
4.5. Disposal of packing materials is your responsibility.
4.6. If there is no one to accept the order on the scheduled delivery date, the goods may be returned to the factory and we reserve the right to charge you an additional re-delivery charge.
4.7. If you change the delivery address once the goods have been despatched to you, we reserve the right to pass on any charges made by our carriers for re-directing the delivery.
4.8. Please check the goods on delivery – any goods found to be missing or damaged should be notified to the delivery driver at the time of delivery or ourselves within a reasonable time.
4.9. If the goods are lost or damaged in transit, please let us know promptly.
4.10. Deliveries are made to a ground floor entrance only and on the condition that there is reasonable access for the safe and prompt delivery of the goods. You should tell us about any special delivery requirements or conditions when you place your order.
4.11. Sometimes, for reasons beyond our control, we may be prevented from delivering your goods as planned. These might include things such as accidents, breakdowns, fire, flood, storm, severe weather, acts of god, war, riot, civil commotion, malicious damage or the default of our suppliers. We will try to put things right as soon as possible however we cannot be responsible where this causes a delay or failure in delivering your goods.
4.12. Time is not the essence of the contract unless expressly stated otherwise in writing by a Director of the Company.
4.13. Free delivery is available on orders where the nett (excl. VAT) value of the goods is greater than £75.00.
5. Cancellation and Returns – Private Consumers
5.1. This policy does not apply to any items which have manufactured to order.
5.2. You can cancel your contract at any time up to 14 days after the day of delivery. To do this, please e-mail, fax or write to us. We are unable to accept cancellations by phone.
5.3. You do not have to give any reason for cancellation. However, a brief explanation will help us to improve the service we offer to customers in the future.
5.4. If you cancel, you must return the goods within 14 days of cancellation, complete with the original packaging. Do not return any goods to our registered address at The Stables, Top Barn Business Centre, Holt Heath, Worcester WR6 6NH. Goods are manufactured at various locations within the UK and you will be informed of the returns address and reference when your cancellation request is received. All goods are to be returned at your own expense. You must ensure that the goods are packaged adequately to protect against damage.
5.5. If you fail to return the goods, we will collect them, and we will charge you the direct cost of collection. If you fail to take reasonable care of the goods before they are returned to us, and this results in damage or deterioration, we will charge you for the reduction in value.
5.6. Provided the goods are received in re-saleable condition, we will refund all monies paid to us by you including the cost of sending the item to you within 30 days, less any costs due under this contract.
6. Cancellation and Returns – Trade and Business Customers
6.1. Orders may not be cancelled except with our mutual agreement and having been confirmed in writing by a Director or our company. We reserve the right to make cancellation and/or re-stocking charges.
6.2. Claims for missing or damaged items must be made within 2 days of delivery.
6.3. If Advantage agree to the return of goods, items are to be returned complete with the original packaging. Do not return any goods to our registered address at The Stables, Top Barn Business Centre, Holt Heath, Worcester WR6 6NH. Goods are manufactured at various locations within the UK and you will be informed of the returns address and reference when your cancellation request is received. All goods are to be returned at your own expense. You must ensure that the goods are packaged adequately to protect against damage.
6.4. If you fail to return the goods, we will collect them, and we will charge you the direct cost of collection and a £10.00 administration fee. If you fail to take reasonable care of the goods before they are returned to us, and this results in damage or deterioration, we will charge you for the reduction in value.
6.5. Provided the goods are received in re-saleable condition, we will refund all monies paid to us by you including the cost of sending the item to you within 30 days, less any costs due under this contract.
These cancellation policies do not affect your legal rights – for example, if goods are faulty or misdescribed.
7. Faulty Goods/Guarantee
7.1. If there is a problem with the goods, please notify us by email or in writing providing details of the problem. It is helpful if you can provide us with a digital photograph of the problem as this normally saves you having to return the goods for inspection. We will deal with the matter in accordance with your legal rights.
7.2. All goods are covered by a manufacturer’s warranty against faulty workmanship and materials, subject to the terms and conditions of that warranty.
7.3. The manufacturer’s warranty is provided in addition to the rights that the law says you have as a consumer and accordingly, your statutory rights are not affected.
7.4. If an exchange is necessary, this will be arranged without unreasonable delay and without charge. Replacement goods will not be dispatched until the original goods have been received at our warehouse and checked.
The cost of returning goods to us is your responsibility, however on inspection we will refund your reasonable postage costs, providing that the goods are found to be faulty. If the goods are not faulty, we will return them to you, however you will be required to cover our reasonable postage costs.
8.1. The products sold on this website have been designed to comply with all relevant UK legislation. We cannot warrant or represent that they comply with any legal requirement outside the UK.
8.2. We do not accept liability for any consequential loss of profit or indirect losses. You should therefore not book installation of the goods until you have received them and inspected them.
